As student access to technology both in and out of school has grown, it is important for classroom educators to embrace future-ready teaching skills. From Google slide decks to teaching with iPads, from gathering feedback via FlipGrid videos to assigning students a collaborative media project, opportunities to increase student engagement are aplenty. We teach students and content, but we also work towards improving learners’ abilities to navigate our ever-changing world.
Through using technology in education, we have the powerful chance to embrace their enthusiasm and guide them into the plethora of systems and tools they will use as they lead their lives.
Consultants at IU 8 can provide guidance on the following concepts:
Google Suite for Education
Selection and implementation of learning management systems
Social media
Digital literacy
Online options to increase productivity or efficiency
Instructional strategies that incorporate technology
If you and/or your students access it digitally, or you would like to move a task, project, or lesson in that direction, we would love to discuss it with you!
