    Educational Consultant (Response to Intervention/Multi-Tiered Systems of Support): Full-Time Position. Four-County Area. PDE Instructional Certificate or Educational Specialist Certificate and 5 years’ experience required. Masters Degree in a related area preferred. Knowledge and understanding of standards-aligned high quality core instruction as well as experience facilitating and supporting school district core teams as they work through change in the academic and behavioral arenas are highly desired. Position will support school districts through the design, implementation, monitoring and sustainability of their tiered levels of support and services.

    Hearing Impaired Support Teacher: Full-Time Position. Cambria County Area. PDE Hearing Impaired Certificate Required.

    World Language(s) Virtual Learning Facilitator: Part-Time per student position. Must possess PA Teaching Certification in a World Language and have experience delivering instruction in a virtual environment.

    Speech & Language Impaired Teachers:
     
    Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8 is accepting applications for PA certified Speech & Language teachers. PA Department of Education certification is required. Positions are full-time (187 working days) with full benefits package. Positions are in the four-county area.

    Substitute Teachers:
     
    Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8 is accepting applications for substitute teachers for day-to-day assignments. Assignments are available in Bedford, Blair, Cambria, and Somerset Counties.     Sign Language Interpreter:

     
    Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8 is accepting applications for part-time and substitute sign language interpreter positions. These positions will provide services as an educational interpreter. An educational interpreter is defined as an individual who transliterates and/or interprets educational content, and facilitates communication between students who are identified as deaf or hard of hearing (on their IEP) and others in order to access the general education curriculum, including all aspects of the students’ educational program.
