The Star-Lab Portable Planetarium was purchased by a consortium of fourteen school districts within the Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8 area.  This large inflatable planetarium is used by the districts as an instructional aide to teach students concepts such as: Astronomy, Plate Tectonics, Greek Mythology, Navigation, and Coordinate Systems.  During the summer months the Star-Lab is used during the ATOMS Scholars Program.  For more information about the Star-Lab Portable Planetarium contact Joan Conway at 814-940-0223 or jconway@iu08.org
