SAFETY IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY

Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8 has a long history of providing safe, reliable and efficient specialized transportation to students participating in a variety of educational programs and settings including:

  • IU8 Operated Programs
  • School District Programs

  2. Specialized equipment, including special or adapted buses with lifts and ramps required to provide special education for a child with a disability
  3. Travel to and from community-based sites for the purposes of instruction and work

  • CPR/First Aid
  • Seizure Disorders

  • Types of Exceptional Students and Behavior Intervention Strategies
  • Dealing with Difficult Parents
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and Bullying

The Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8 Transportation Department is available to answer questions you may have regarding student transportation or to discuss how IU8 can assist with transportation needs.
