Solving The Sports Concussion Crisis

The Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8 BrainSTEPS Team is sponsoring "Solving The Sports Concussion Crisis" on Friday, March, 9, 2012, from 9:00am - 11:00 am at the St. Francis University JFK Conference Center in Loretto, PA.

This free seminar is presented by Christopher J. Nowinski,Co-founder, President and CEO of Sports Legacy Institute and Former WWE Pro Wrestler.

Mr. Nowinski will bring awareness of the consequences of traumatic brain injury as a result of sports-related concussions. There will be discussion of how injury occurs, how the brain is affected by injury, prevention and treatment. Mr. Nowinski will share his personal experience as well as the emerging evidence of long-term effects of concussions.
