BECOME A GUEST SUBSTITUTE TEACHER
Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8 and participating public school districts are interested in finding qualified personnel as guest teachers to replace regular classroom teachers during training sessions and/or leave time.
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Completed application including proof of a bachelor's degree in any subject.
- Proof of no criminal history or child abuse incidents.
- Successful completion of two days of FREE TRAINING.
During training, you will talk with teachers, learn techniques to deal with today's students and review effective teaching topics.Those who successfully complete the training will be qualified to substitute in any of the following schools participating in the substitute teacher program. Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8, Bedford, Blacklick Valley, Central Cambria, Chestnut Ridge, Conemaugh Township, Conemaugh Valley, Everett Area, Ferndale Area, Forest Hills, North Star, Northern Bedford County, Penn Cambria, Portage Area, Richland, Spring Cove, Tussey Mountain, Tyrone Area, Williamsburg Community.
