Assistive technology is any item, piece of equipment or product system, whether acquired commercially off the shelf, modified or customized, that is used to increase, maintain or improve the functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities
Services available through the Assistive Technology Program:
- Basic information concerning awareness of assistive technology services available and how to access these services
- Assessment and evaluation as a member of the multidisciplinary evaluation team in identifying assistive technology services to meet individual needs.
- Assistance in obtaining assistive technology through PaTTAN or other funding
- Technical assistance and on-site training to assist in the successful implementation of assistive technology to benefit the student

How to refer a student for Assistive Technology services
|
- Complete a Request for Assistive Technology Support referral form.
- If this is part of an initial evaluation for a student, please send a copy of the district’s signed Permission to Evaluate indicating the AT evaluation.
- If this is not part of an initial evaluation, please have the parents sign the attached permission form.
- Submit a copy of the student’s latest IEP and ER.
