The Social Studies curriculum gives students a basic background and develops an appreciation for the social studies skills used in everyday living. Study for all students is approached from a geographical, historical, sociological, economical, and cultural viewpoint. Also, an emphasis is placed on citizenship transmission, which will draw on those moral and ethical values that are commonly accepted as basic elements in American life. This course is designed for mainstream students in grades 7-12; however, adaptations are made to accommodate individual student learning styles and instructional levels.
