Listed below are the directions for this summer’s 2005 ATOMS Sites. Unless indicated differently, all directions originate from 4500 Sixth Ave. in Altoona. If you have other questions concerning the location of the school, please contact the school office.

Take Route 764S (Sixth Ave.) towards Duncansville. Take the 22W / I99 Exit towards Ebensburg & get in the left lane. Take the Altoona-Bedford (Rt 220/I99 exit). Follow the I99/220S signs towards Bedford. Exit from I99/220S onto Route 30W (also known as the Everett Exit). Travel on Route 30 West until it intersects with Rt 31 W (at the Gene Bonet Restaurant) towards Somerset. Go approximately 17 - 18 miles to Roxbury. At Roxbury take Route 160 W into Berlin. Make a right hand turn at the blinking red light. Drive 3 blocks and make another right turn at the sign board.

Take Route 764S (Sixth Ave.) towards Duncansville. Take the 22W Exit towards Ebensburg to the Nanty Glo Exit. Exit and make a left into Nanty Glo. Travel approximately 2 miles to the light in Nanty Glo. Bear right across the bridge until you come to a T in the road. Make a left at the T. Drive approximately four blocks. Take a right at the Blacklick Valley High School sign.

Take Route 764 South towards East Freedom. At Freedom Junction get on Route 220 South. Proceed on Route 220 South until you reach the Everett Exit (Rt. 30 E). Take the Everett Exit and proceed on this highway (Rt. 30 E) for approx. 8 miles. Take the Everett Exit once again. You will exit onto Main St and stay on this street. Proceed through 2 traffic lights. Shortly after the second light you will see signs indicating a left turn to the High School.

Take Rt 22 W to Ebensburg. Exit onto Route 219 S towards Johnstown. Exit at Sidman and turn left at the stop sign towards Sidman. The high school will be on your right as you approach Sidman.

From the IU entrance turn right onto Route 764S (Sixth Ave.) Approx. 1 block before the first stoplight turn right onto Hart Street (You will pass the Jr. High School.). Proceed on Hart Street to the second stop sign. Turn right at the second stop sign on to Montgomery St. Proceed straight on N. Montgomery St. The school is on your right.
Northern Bedford High School

Take Rt. 764 South towards East Freedom. At Freedom Junction take Rt. 36 South towards Roaring Spring. Stay on Route 36 straight through the 2 flashing lights. Proceed through the town of Woodbury and the little town of Waterside. Approx. 1/4 mile beyond Waterside the school is on your right. (The school is along Rt. 36 approx. 10 miles after the last blinking light.)

Follow Route 22 W towards Ebensburg. At Ebensburg take 219 N to the end of the highway. Follow this road (Still 219 North) through Carrolltown towards the stop light in Spangler. About 6/10 of mile after the stoplight you will see a Dairy Queen on the left followed by Strollos Hardware. Make a right turn at the road immediately following the hardware store. Go up the hill and the school is on your left. Park in the teacher's parking lot or the bus lot.

Take Rt 22 W to Ebensburg. Exit onto Route 219 S towards Somerset. After passing the Johnstown exits take the Jennerstown/Stoystown exit. Turn right off the exit onto Route 30. At the first stop light turn right. Stay on this road until it intersects Ohio Street. Turn right onto Ohio St. The high School is on this street.
Penn Cambria Middle School

Take Route 22 W to towards Cresson and get off at the Gallitzin Exit. Turn left at the stop sign onto Tunnel Street and then turn left (at the Erculiani’s Restaurant sign) onto Portage Street. At the next stop sign turn right – Cross over the iron bridge. Make the first immediate left turn and go up the street two blocks. Turn right onto Division Street. Go straight - the road turns into the parking lot of the middle school.

Take Rt 22 W to Ebensburg. Exit onto Route 219 S towards Somerset. Proceed on 219S until it intersects Route 281S. Take 281S to New Centerville. At New Centerville make a left at the yellow flashing light onto Route 653 East towards Rockwood. Approx. 2 1/2 miles after turning onto Rt 653 the school is located on your left. Proceed past the school and take the next left turn onto Somerset Ave. Make another left turn past the tennis courts and proceed to the main entrance of the school.

Take Rt. 764 South towards East Freedom. At Freedom Junction take Rt. 36 South towards Roaring Spring. Stay on Route 36 until you come to the 2nd flashing light. At the light make a left turn and proceed on this road for several miles. Ritchey's Dairy is on the right and the Central H.S. turn is on the left.
Tyrone Area High School

Take I 99 North towards Tyrone and exit at Grazierville. Turn right towards Tyrone at the exit ans then turn left when you come to the Pizza Hut. At the first stop sign after the Pizza Hut turn right onto Clay Ave. The school is located on your left about a half mile up the road.
Westmont Hilltop Middle School

Take Rt 22 W to Ebensburg. Exit onto Route 219 S towards Johnstown. Exit off of 219 at the Johnstown PA 56 W exit. Take the Bedford Street Exit into Johnstown. Proceed straight through the light and make a left turn at the second light onto Haynes Street. Travel on Haynes Street to the end. At the end make a left onto Menoher Highway and proceed up the hill for several miles. You will pass a large cemetary and then an athletic field on your right. The Middle School is on the right immediately after the athletic field.
